The Journey

Kyle Wisner's path to ceramics is inextricably linked to the wild landscapes and demanding waters of Alaska. A commercial fisherman by trade, Kyle spent decades navigating the rugged coastline, where the rhythmic pulse of the sea and the raw textures of the North became part of his very being. This connection to the environment flows directly into his work at the wheel. His functional pottery is born from a desire to bring that earthy, grounded sense of place into daily life. Each piece reflects the muted tones of the Alaskan coast, the sturdy functionality required by a life at sea, and the quiet resilience of the wilderness Kyle calls home.
